TmaxSoft (CEO Hyongyong Lee) announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NHN Cloud (CEO Donghoon Kim) to expand the adoption of domestic software in Korea’s public cloud and digital transformation (DX) sectors.
TmaxSoft is a leading enterprise software provider offering cloud-optimized application servers and mainframe modernization services. Recently, the company unveiled its vision to develop an AI Framework, aimed at enabling sustainable growth in the era of artificial intelligence.
Under the new agreement, the two companies will form a joint task force to strengthen cooperation. TmaxSoft will provide NHN Cloud with optimized technologies and solutions, while NHN Cloud will actively adopt TmaxSoft’s software in its public cloud projects. The partnership also includes joint marketing and project execution across key industries such as enterprise, public, and financial sectors.
The collaboration extends beyond Korea, as the companies plan to jointly pursue mainframe modernization projects in Japan, helping local enterprises transition from legacy systems to flexible, open, cloud-based environments. Mainframe modernization enables greater efficiency and agility by transforming long-standing, large-scale computing systems into modern digital infrastructures.
By combining TmaxSoft’s proven software technologies with NHN Cloud’s infrastructure expertise, the partnership aims to deliver an open, extensible mainframe environment—allowing organizations to freely connect across systems and platforms without being locked into a single vendor’s technology.
Hyongyong Lee, CEO of TmaxSoft, said, “This partnership represents a meaningful collaboration that combines strong infrastructure with proven solutions to create greater business value for our customers.”
Donghoon Kim, CEO of NHN Cloud, added, “By leveraging NHN Cloud’s stable infrastructure and TmaxSoft’s trusted enterprise solutions, we aim to significantly strengthen our competitiveness in the public cloud and DX markets.”
