Enterprise software company TmaxSoft (CEO Hyongyong Lee) announced on the 1st that its application server product, JEUS 11, has become the first in Korea to obtain certification for the latest global standard, ‘Jakarta EE 11,’ demonstrating global-level AX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation) technology leadership.
This marks the first time that an enterprise application server (WAS) product in Korea has obtained certification for the Jakarta EE 11 specification. TmaxSoft plans to respond to the demand for enterprise platforms in the AI and cloud era through JEUS 11, a Java-based platform product that meets the latest global standard specifications.
Jakarta EE, released as open source by the Eclipse Foundation, is a platform and global standard specification for developing and running Java-based applications. Jakarta EE 11 is a next-generation platform that pursues the modernization of enterprise-grade cloud-native application development, with greatly improved compatibility with Java 21, development productivity, and performance. Through virtual threads added to JDK (Java Development Kit) 21, it enhances performance to handle rapidly increasing large-scale traffic simultaneously in cloud environments. By introducing the Jakarta Data 1.0 specification, which applies an intuitive ‘repository’ concept, it reduces unnecessary repetitive coding and enables fast application development without directly writing complex queries.
JEUS 11, scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, is TmaxSoft’s next-generation application server product. By applying the Jakarta EE 11 standard specification, it supports not only the virtual thread technology of the latest Java 21 but also Spring 7, the latest Java application framework widely used in enterprise environments. It provides WJP3 (WebtoB-JEUS Protocol version 3), which is compatible with the high-speed transmission protocol HTTP/2, realizing optimal integration with its web server ‘WebtoB,’ which enables intelligent load balancing. It further maximizes system stability and availability, and strengthens scalability and security. It also provides a significantly improved Web Admin for enhanced convenience.
TmaxSoft evaluates that, through this certification, JEUS, the No.1 product in Korea application server market, has reached a high level of technological maturity, which is a key factor of global competitiveness. In particular, it is meaningful in that it complies with international standards and open architecture policy directions required in public software projects, thereby providing a domestic technology option in mission-critical industries.
Going forward, TmaxSoft plans to take the lead in utilizing new technologies to respond to evolving global standard specifications in line with the AI era, and to proactively advance its AX technology and product roadmap. In order to strengthen the future AX ecosystem, the company also plans to actively participate in the open-source community by launching the ‘JEUS’ open-source project starting this year, laying the groundwork for expanding its global presence.
Hyongyong Lee, CEO of TmaxSoft, said, “An application server is software that is responsible for connectivity, development productivity, and stability in enterprise systems, and in the AX environment, it will play a central role in connecting AI computation and business logic without delay,” adding, “We will grow JEUS into a product that aims for global standards and AI cloud-native, as well as a product line for AI business application development platforms.”
