Enterprise software specialist TmaxSoft (CEO Lee Hyongyong) announced on Sept. 9 that it steadily secured major deals in the financial sector during the first half of this year and will accelerate its push into next-generation financial business planned for the second half.
TmaxSoft's first-half financial sector results were led by strong performance among tier-1 banks, securities firms, and insurers. The company secured projects to upgrade a range of products, including its application server (WAS) optimized for mission-critical financial systems, in line with the latest IT infrastructure environments. It also won large-scale “WinBack” projects to replace foreign software with its own products. Representative projects include ▲ channel-system upgrades, ▲ integrated customer-notice system rebuilds, and ▲ digital channel infrastructure rebuilds. The company also secured additional platform (interface, framework, etc.) solution projects, including a banking FEP (Front-End Processing) system upgrade and a credit-inquiry platform build.
TmaxSoft attributes these results to the trust it has built with existing customers and to core capabilities proven across more than 4,000 cumulative reference cases. Key factors included products built on a robust, state-of-the-art architecture essential to infrastructure innovation in the financial industry, product performance and stability accumulated over 29 years in enterprise environments, and customer-centric hands-on technical support.
Business opportunities to expand TmaxSoft's financial sector results are expected to continue into the second half. Building on the momentum of its first-half big deals, TmaxSoft plans to accelerate its push into next-generation financial business, leading with its WAS products JEUS and WebtoB, its interface platform AnyLink, and its framework solutions ProFrame and ProObject. To secure new references in financial AX (AI transformation), the company also plans to actively pursue projects applying AI Code Assistant and AI Ops to system development environments at domestic financial institutions.
Lee Hyungsub, Executive Vice President and Head of the Financial Business Division at TmaxSoft, said, “These results reflect not simply product delivery, but a strategy well-aligned with our customers’ pain points (structural problems and inefficiencies that need to be resolved) and their business goals.” He added, “We believe what matters most to financial customers is, ultimately, proven technology, stability, and experience built up in real-world financial operations. Building on the references we’ve accumulated across the financial sector, we will expand business with existing customers and respond proactively to the market’s shift toward next-generation, cloud, and AI technologies, securing new growth opportunities for our financial business.”
TmaxSoft is an enterprise software company that became fully independent from Tmax Group at the end of 2024, entering a new phase of independent management. The company has laid out an AI-centered growth strategy and is leading the build-out of an AI solution ecosystem as a flagship company of Korea's software industry. To grow into a global AI business platform company, TmaxSoft is developing Continuum AI, a business platform designed to support enterprise AI transformation.
